Bull Creek Settlers Historical Presentation
Cemeteries are a mark of history and our neighborhood uniquely holds its own as the site of the Pleasant Valley Cemetery also known as the Walden Cemetery. The prominent headstone in the front of the property is the final resting place of Mrs. Caroline Thurm. Caroline’s living descendant, her great, great grandson Colonel Ladd Pattillo, has uncovered the remarkable history of Caroline and the Thurm family, the Waldens and other early settlers of Bull Creek. The following is a presentation about where these settlers came from, who they were, how they ended up in Bull Creek, and other fascinating stories of pioneer life.
