A Story of Care and Commitment:
This Camaro came into my life almost ten years ago, purchased from Street Dreams in Fredericksburg, Texas. It stood out with its Hugger Orange paint and Dover White stripes, a testament to its body-on restoration in 2007. Since then, it has been my privilege to maintain and enhance this piece of American history. I’m selling the car due to a growing family and the recent purchase of a large SUV.

Over the years, this 1969 Chevrolet Camaro SS Convertible has received a series of upgrades and updates to ensure it’s a vehicle that’s reliable and a joy to drive. The first update that I did immediately was installing the Vintage Air Air Conditioning system, which seamlessly integrates into the dash to maintain the classic aesthetic while providing cold air. The braking system was upgraded to front disc brakes. A continuously running radiator fan and an upgraded radiator were installed to ensure the engine runs cool, even in the heat of summer.
The transmission was entirely replaced in March 2015 with a TCI transmission package, complete with a torque converter and transmission cooler, alongside a new flexplate for smoother operation and reliability. In 2016, the ignition system was upgraded with an MSD distributor and coil, and the engine received a comprehensive overhaul—every seal was replaced, and parts were updated to keep it running at its best.
The dedication to maintaining and enhancing this Camaro continued into 2023, with a focus on both performance and longevity. A new aluminum water pump, air filter, and inline fuel filter were installed, alongside new cylinder head fasteners and all new engine gaskets, ensuring every aspect of the engine is sealed and functioning optimally.
Notably, the convertible top’s hydraulic lift cylinders were replaced with new (not remanufactured) parts, ensuring the top operates smoothly and reliably, making it an easy to decision to put the top back and enjoy the drive.
Each of these upgrades has been carefully chosen and expertly installed, with an eye toward preserving the character and performance of this iconic vehicle. It’s not just about keeping a classic car on the road; it’s about respecting its legacy while ensuring it can be enjoyed for many more years to come.

This 1969 Chevrolet Camaro SS Convertible had the honor of being the parade car for the McLaren Formula 1 team during the Circuit of the Americas F1 race in Austin, Texas. This car’s Hugger Orange color made it the perfect companion for the McLaren team. Over 400,000 people were in attendance to do a few laps on the F1 track with Lando Norris (a few hours after riding on the back of this Camaro placed 2nd in the race!) and Oscar Piastri.
This 1969 Camaro has been featured in various commercials, music videos and photoshoots.
